With over 30 years experience in the music, media and entertainment business, Tony has a unique wealth of knowledge, a truly diverse set of skills and a commanding capacity to communicate on every level.
He began his career in the music industry playing keyboards as an original member of “Iron Maiden”. He then went on to form a band called “Tanz Der Youth” with Brian James (ex Damned) and achieved critical acclaim as part of the “New Wave” of British Music at the end of the 70’s.
In the early 80’s, as an actor, he appeared in such innovative TV shows as The Young Ones, Spike Milligans Q6 and Crocodile Shoes.
Tony then went on to record an album of his own songs at the legendary Abbey Road studios which spawned a number 1 Christmas hit in Europe in 1983 with a song called “Fool”.
As a session musician Tony worked with many acts in the mid 80’s including John Parr (St Elmo’s Fire) and Meatloaf.
In 1986 he joined a band called Cutting Crew as keyboard player and they went on to have massive world wide success with a song called “I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight” which was number 1 in 17 different countries.
Through the 90’s he wrote, recorded and produced songs for Argentine singer Marie Claire D’ubaldo and toured the world as her MD on the back of massive hit songs like “the Rhythm Is Magic” in Italy, Japan, Russia and South America.
In the late 90’s Tony Moore launched a seminal venue for songwriters in Central London called The Kashmir Klub . His entrepreneurial instinct and passion for music helped him establish a ground breaking club that went on to discover and develop artists like Damien Rice, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heap, The Feeling and many more.
At the start of 2003, building on the success of the Kashmir Klub, he took over The Bedford in Balham and turned it into one of the most successful and award winning small venues in the country. Where, once again, he played a significant role in the careers of artists such as Paolo Nutini, James Morrison, Newton Faulkner, Amy Macdonald, Ed Sheran and a host of others.
In 2004 he began a 3 year run as co-host of an overnight chat show on BBC London where he brought in many of the acts that he was championing and gave Londoners their first chance to hear artists like Imogen Heap and Paolo Nutini.
In 2007, despite having no previous aviation experience he decided to learn to fly and gained his license in just over 3 months, at which point he embarked on a truly unique fund raising concept called Acoustic Airwaves, where he flew a light aircraft filled with musical equipment to 15 UK airfields, set up the gear and performed to rais money and raise awareness before flying on to the next destination, all SOLO!
During the Summer of 2008, Tony was given his own live TV show in Malta, called “Let’s Talk Music”. For 13 weeks, he presented a topical chat and music show for SuperOne TV that was repeated 3 times within the same year due to it’s popularity.
As a speaker, Tony Moore has been invited to talk on panels, seminars and for conferences all around the world where his wealth of wisdom is always in great demand.
As a personality he is often called upon for his professional input by stations like LBC, Radio 5 Live and the BBC.
Within last decade he has been inducted into the Music Managers Forum “Roll Of Honour” for outstanding contribution to The British Music industry as well as receiving the much coveted “Gold Badge” award from BASCA for his services to songwriters and music. In Malta he was even honoured to join other celebrities with his own GOLD “STAR” in the walk of fame alongside his hand print
During the last 20 years Tony has hosted hundreds of events, from Charity Balls to Industry Seminars, Live Music events like Grillstock, Cornbury Festival and Hop Farm festival (48,000 people) to countless private functions including awards shows at The House Of Commons and the US Ambassadors Residence.
In 2015 he presented and compered the “Visit USA Roadshow” round the UK.
He is able to adapt and become the heart and soul of any event and always gives 100% to everything he does.
Tony was employed for 8 years by The British Music industry to produce and present British Live Music events abroad, making sure that they represented the UK at its absolute best.
Following his passion to inform and educate, Tony has created a number of motivational seminars and Master classes about the music business and songwriting that he presents on a regular basis to sold out audiences in the UK and USA.
He was also on the faculty of The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance in London where he wrote and taught the acclaimed module “The History Of Songwriting” as well as giving classes in advanced lyric writing and song craft
Since April 2014 Tony has presented his own popular weekly show on Soho Radio London combining live music, great songs and intimate chat with guests from all over the world.
Tony has acted in two independent feature films made in Berlin, the first, Mr Rudolphos Jubilee is an award winning movie that has been out for 2 years now and his latest, 36 Husbands, is due for release at the end of 2019
Since the beginning of 2017 he’s been recording and releasing new material with the first single, “Perfect And Beautiful” making it into the top 40 iTunes singer/songwriter chart and a steady stream of material being released and heard all around the world.
On June 30th 2019 Tony performed his own composition “We Are The Light” at the closing ceremony of the European Games 2019 in Minsk, Belarus to a sold out stadium audience in front of special guest Vladamir Putin. The show was also televised live to 117 countries with an estimated audience of around 500,000,000 people.
